My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Thore took a chance on love by agreeing to go on a blind date in Season 13.

Ahead of the July 22 episode, TLC shared an exclusive sneak peek with Parade of Thore’s friends setting her up with a mystery man.

At the beginning of the clip, Thore’s pal Isaiah Martin explained that he was responsible for arranging the date.

“Whitney really wants a man, but she’s been striking out left and right,” he told producers. “If this works out, they really need to call me the love doctor because I’ve got the cure.”

As Thore waited at a restaurant with Martin and his wife, Jessica Powell, she reminded them not to bring up the fact that she recently underwent artificial insemination.

“Have you decided when a good time would be to discuss that?” Powell asked.

“If I’m going to be honest, I don’t assume I’m going to meet anybody,” Thore confessed. “So I’m not even thinking about that.”

After Powell and Martin pointed out she was meeting someone that night, Thore clarified, “Who wants to see me again.”

To producers, Thore shared, “I wish I felt more confident, but honestly, I am incredibly picky with men that I can see. So knowing that I’m going on a date with a man that I haven’t seen makes me feel like the rate of success is gonna be very low.”

A man named John then entered the building right as Martin made a joke about her getting another cat or a baby.

“Oh lord, Jesus, here we go,” Thore said with a sigh. “I do not want to be here or do this.”
