Welcome to Plathville Drama Heats Up đ„ Kim Plath Calls Out Lydia Plath and Zac for Criticizing the Familyâs Drinking and âBad Habitsâ
Kim Plath becomes a mama bear on the upcoming episode of Welcome to Plathville, calling out daughter Lydia Plath for her and husband Zac Wyseâs alleged criticism of their familyâs so-called bad habits.
âApparently, Lydia and Zac have been sitting people down and telling them that they donât approve of how theyâre living their lives, and thatâs kind of hard,â Kim, 53, confesses in Us Weeklyâs exclusive sneak peek at the Tuesday, June 2, episode of the TLC series. âI just want to hear Lydiaâs perspective on it.â
Kim follows through with her plan during a road trip with Lydia, revealing, âWhat I heard is that you two said to Moriah [Plath] that you didnât approve of her having alcohol in the house.â
Lydia, 22, quickly denies the allegation, claiming, âNo, thatâs not what we were saying.â

Kim, however, continues to tell Lydia what sheâs heard from her older sister Moriah, 23, whom Lydia and Zac, 24, recently visited in Montana.
âYou [said you] didnât approve of the games that she plays, like, the raunchy card game and the movies or TV that she watches. That it âdoesnât honor God,ââ Kim recalls. âThatâs what I was told. So this is your chance to correct me.â
Lydia is visibly surprised by her motherâs line of questioning, responding, âIâve already corrected all of it with Moriah and Amber [Plath] and everyone was there out now.â
Kim explains that she isnât âcalling up people, asking for peopleâs business,â revealing that Lydiaâs sisters just âtellâ her things and now she wants answers. (Kim shares nine children, including Moriah, Lydia and Amber, 17, with ex-husband Barry Plath. The exesâ 10th child, son Joshua, died when he was 17 months old following an accident on their farm.)

âI am a little taken aback, I guess news travels fast,â Lydia tells the cameras while reflecting on her conversation with Kim in the car.
Lydia, who married Zac in February 2025, then explains that while the couple was in Montana to see Moriah, they âobserved a lot.â
She admits that after seeing some things she and Zac didnât necessarily approve of, she brought it to her sisterâs attention â which is what Kim was later told about.
âMoriah having the alcohol there, I just wanted to bring it up to Moriah of, like, âJust be aware, you know, like, Amber is a minor still,ââ Lydia recalls. âAnd someone turned on a show that had more F-bombs in one episode than I hear at work in a week.â

When it comes to the card game in question, Lydia says it was âanother instanceâ where she was ânot feeling consideredâ by the others in the group.
âI would never in a million years read out loud what it says on this card,â Lydia tells the cameras, noting that she is more buttoned up than some of her siblings and therefore Moriah shouldâve been more considerate with her choice of fun and games.
Lydia confirms that âthese things did bother us,â referring to her and her husband, who fans remember waited until their wedding day to share their first kiss despite criticism from her brothers. (Lydiaâs eldest brother, Ethan Plath, questioned Zacâs sexuality because he was OK waiting to be intimate with her before they got hitched.)
âWe thought itâd be nice, you know, if there was less of it,â Lydia concludes, seemingly standing by her and Zacâs remarks about Moriahâs way of life.
Welcome to Plathville airs on TLC Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
