John-David Duggar’s wife, Abbie Duggar, has revealed that she was struggling during her pregnancy.

Abbie posted two photos on Instagram on Saturday, September 27. They show her cradling her baby bump. In the second image, it is a close-up of her hand and her bump. In the caption, she revealed that she had Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), which is typically classified as extreme nausea and dizziness that occurs during pregnancy. Oftentimes, women who experience HG are very unwell and can lose weight or even be dehydrated, Cleveland Clinic reports.
“A little over half way! We had a pretty rough go of it the first half and I am so thankful to be feeling much more like myself again! God is good! #pregnant #hyperemesis,” Abbie wrote in the caption.
Fans showed their support in the comment section. “Praying for you sweet Abby,” a fan shared. “Abbie you are glowing! Beautiful mama!!!!” another fan wrote.

Abbie and John-David have not shared a gender reveal or the exact due date of their baby. Fans have been asking about both in the comments.
Abbie & John-David Duggar’s Third Pregnancy
This is the couple’s third child, following the birth of Grace and Charlie in January 2020 and October 2022, respectively. Abbie and John-David initially announced this pregnancy on Instagram on September 3. In the post, they shared photos of their older two children holding up balloons reading “one” and “two.” Abbie holds the third balloon, which also has pictures from her ultrasound scan.
In the second photo, John-David appears next to his family. It’s an adorable moment.

There has also been a lot of chatter about how Jana Duggar, who is John-David’s older sister, will be having her baby around the same time as her sister-in-law.
Fans are correct that John-David and his sister Jana’s baby is due around the same time. On Wednesday, September 24, Jana posted a photo on Instagram informing fans that she was halfway to her due date with her and husband Stephen Wissmann’s first child.
