During the September 10 episode of Welcome To Plathville, the family discusses the bitter truth behind the sadness in Moriah Plath’s music. Although Season 6 has seemingly been themed around heartache and Moriah’s album release, now they are breaking down the reason she left. Fans know that September was a difficult month for Moriah, but now the Plaths are sharing details about the breakup including a bombshell about her ex-boyfriend.

‘Birthed’ Out Of The Pain

In the episode, Moriah Plath reiterates that her music was the vessel to carry her through the pain of her heartbreak. For instance, she wrote “September” to flush some of those feelings out of her system. Lyrics include, “Staring at my door, I was constantly left hanging.” Furthermore, the song says, “Waiting for a lot of promises that weren’t kept or broken. I couldn’t handle another day of waiting for somebody that I knew would never show up.” Admittedly, Moriah sees this song as the “one that will say the most about what happened,”
