Kody Brown Swaps “Sister Wives” Drama for Boot Camp Chaos on Fox’s “Special Forces”
Apparently, Kody Brown has decided that dodging family arguments on Sister Wives just isn’t challenging enough — so he’s trading in his living room for military-style mud pits. Yes, you read that right. This fall, Brown will join season 4 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test on Fox, premiering September 25.
The concept is simple: take 18 “celebrities” (using that term loosely), strip them of glam squads and comfy beds, and throw them into brutal special forces–inspired challenges. Think jumping off bridges, dragging your exhausted body into helicopters, and generally looking like you regret every life choice that led you there.
Joining Brown will be an eclectic lineup of reality TV alumni — Teresa Giudice and daughter Gia (The Real Housewives), Brittany Cartwright (Vanderpump Rules), Eva Marcille (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), and a handful of names that may leave you saying, “Who?”
But before you start picturing Kody heroically scaling walls, there’s a plot twist: one of his fellow cast members admitted they didn’t even know who he was during filming… and hinted that the two didn’t exactly become BFFs. Social media also had a field day — some fans joked that he’d smuggle Robin and the kids in as his “emotional support family,” while others doubted he could survive if the temperature climbed above 99.8°F.
This is Brown’s first appearance outside the safe (and often messy) walls of Sister Wives, which has been chronicling his polygamous family adventures since 2010. And while Special Forces is famous for recruiting reality stars whose main gigs are in reruns, the paycheck reportedly isn’t huge — meaning Kody’s probably there more for attention than cash.
