Less than 24 hours after introducing 90 Day: The Last Resort viewers to her “friend” Matt Branistareanu, Jasmine Pineda has confirmed that she and Matt are expecting their first child together…despite the fact that she is still married to Gino Palazzolo.
Jasmine, who is already a mom of two, announced her “very special news” Tuesday on social media, telling fans she’s “so happy and excited.”
“I cannot wait to meet my beautiful baby,” she added.
Matt also confirmed the news on his Instagram page, posting photos of himself and Jasmine, as well as a maternity photo of the 90 Day Fiance star.
“Baby daddy!” Jasmine commented on Matt’s post. “Looking forward to co parenting our baby.”
Jasmine’s pregnancy announcement comes after more than a month of heavy speculation online that the 37-year-old was expecting and that her estranged husband, Gino Palazzolo, wasn’t the father. (As readers know, it’s The Ashley’s policy to not do pregnancy speculation stories, which is why The Ashley avoiding covering the story when news leaked from other media outlets that Jasmine was pregnant.)
A source told In Touch Weekly back in January that they were “almost certain” that Matt, whom Jasmine met at a Michigan gym, was the father of Jasmine’s baby.
Jasmine recalled the moment she met Matt during Monday’s episode of “90 Day: The Last Resort” while discussing her sexless marriage to Gino with co-stars Stacey Silva and Julia Trubkina. Jasmine told Stacey and Julia that she and Matt had formed a “genuine friendship” after they began working out at the gym together. She also revealed that she had confided in Matt about her and Gino’s marriage issues, as well as the fact that she was contemplating an open marriage.
“I do respect him because any other man would have used my vulnerability, like, ‘This girl hasn’t had d**k in what, nine months?’” Jasmine said of her “friend” Matt. “But he has been very respectful of that.”
Jasmine claimed that Matt was on-board with her open marriage idea, as he allegedly “liked her as a person.”
Later in the episode, Stacey and Julia (and viewers) got to see Matt make his “90 Day Fiance” debut via FaceTime, during which he insisted he and Jasmine were “good friends,” but that he was open to them becoming more than that.
“If something was ever to happen, that would be cool with me,” Matt told Stacey and Julia. “But, you know, when people get married, there’s going to be ups and downs. So I want to see her happy, you know?”
Viewers first met Gino and Jasmine on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The couple went on to marry in June 2023, with the ceremony airing during Season 10 of “90 Day Fiance” in 2024.
Gino has yet to comment on his wife’s pregnancy news; however, he’s been “liking” a number of comments on his latest Instagram post, suggesting that he and Jasmine remain at odds.
“I hope you’re doing well,” one of the comments read. “You deserve so much better.”
“It’s okay bro,” another fan wrote. “You WON at the end of the day Gino… you’re free’d from that hot mess you’ll find a real WOMAN who will respect you and give you a beautiful life brother! Keep WINNING.”
After announcing her pregnancy, Jasmine was met with some online backlash from fans who pointed out that she has been less-than-a-stellar mother to her two sons, JC and Juance, whom Jasmine left in Panama so that she could come to the United States and marry Gino in 2023.
In the comment section of a video posted to Instagram Tuesday, Jasmine answered a fan’s question that inquired about Jasmine’s two sons in Panama.
“I recently got the resources I need to get an immigration lawyer and bring them to America,” Jasmine wrote. “The fact that I’m not a citizen (plus they weren’t include[d] in my visa petition) is making things very hard (that plus the current political situation-which might favor or not this kind of process) but if my kids’ visa gets rejected I’m immediately going back to Panama and I won’t live in America anymore. I can’t give any more details besides this because of contractual obligations.”
While Gino has yet to share his thoughts on Jasmine’s announcement, Josh Weinstein– who’s appearing alongside Gino and Jasmine on the current season of “90 Day: The Last Resort,”– shared his reaction to the news on social media, alleging that Jasmine had been cheating on Gino with Matt for a while.
“As we all celebrate her pregnancy let’s not forget how she got here,” Josh wrote. “She cheated on Gino and was with this loser Matt since before ‘Last Resort.’ Then pressured Gino into an Open Marriage so she could conceal her relationship with this Dummy Matt. Now she’s having his baby.”
Josh went on to say that he felt “really bad for Gino,” claiming his co-star was “collateral damage” and has been left heartbroken. Josh also claimed that Gino and Jasmine’s intimacy issues were caused by Jasmine treating her husband “so badly.”
“Poor [Gino] I’m sorry for what you had to go through and I’m sorry we all didn’t see what you were actually going through sooner,” Josh continued. “Matt is nothing but a loser and a home wrecker…..”
